Jo Lingwood
As well as being the PA to both Directors, Jo deals with all of the company's financial and commercial requirements. Since commencing employment with the company in 2008, her duties have been to oversee the smooth running of the company's budgets and financials, dealing with all bookkeeping and the company accounts, the company pension scheme, PAYE & payroll through to purchase/nominal ledgers and VAT. She is also responsible for compliance of all legal and corporate legislation within the business.
We asked Jo to take some time out from her busy schedule to answer a few questions.

How did you first get involved with Lingwood Security Management?
I approached the Directors and told them that if they gave me a job, I would work as hard as I possibly could to help them to achieve their Company vision.
What was your first impression of Lingwood Security Management?
That the whole team was determined to progress and be successful.
What's your first memory of working at Lingwood Security Management?
Making my first cup of tea for everyone on my first day. Doc told me that if I couldn’t make a good brew, then I was for the highjump!
What has surprised you most about working at Lingwood Security Management?
Nothing surprises me. Everyday is different, exciting and engaging.
What do you find most challenging about your work?
Trying to control the cashflow, to ensure the smooth running of the business finances.
What's the best/worst thing to happen since you started working at Lingwood Security Management?
The best thing is working with an exceptional team of individuals who really care about their work and achieving the best results possible.
The worst thing ….erm, I can’t answer that as I haven’t really experienced anything too bad!
If you could change one thing about Lingwood Security Management what would it be?
I wouldn’t change anything.
What interesting characters have you worked with at Lingwood Security Management?
Lots and lots of interesting Characters – Our Guards are the best in The UK - to work shifts you must be a special type of person!
What do you think will change at Lingwood Security Management over the next five years, or in the industry as a whole?
I think that Clients are changing. They want one stop shop solution. I think a fully integrated package with a full Site Set Up that includes all facilities management and all security solutions, will be the future. Clients want to have the hassle taken away from them, which would allow them to concentrate on their KPIs, whilst their project is being managed and maintained by one point of contact. This is something that we now offer as a Company and I look forward to feeding back to everyone over the next few years on this.
If you weren't working at Lingwood Security Management, what would you be doing instead, or what would your life be like?
I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Lingwood Security till I retire!

What do you do when you aren't working?
I love travelling and being in the great outdoors. I love to be fit and active and try my hardest to enjoy every moment of my life, doing the things that make me happy.
